Clinical analysis of pregnant women with 2019 novel coronavirus pneumonia

The objective of the study is to describe the clinical characteristics of a pregnant woman infected with COVID-19, to provide a guide in the clinical prevention and treatment of COVID-19 in pregnant women. The study focused on 5 pregnant women within 25 to 31 years who were hospitalized from January 20 to February 10, 2020, in their week 38-41 SDG, they had regular ultrasound and fetal heart rate monitoring, as well such as a complete blood count, blood chemistry, clotting times, kidney and liver function tests, electrolytes, C-reactive protein, procalcitonin, lactate dehydrogenase, and creatinine kinase. Once the patient presented symptoms, a chest CT scan was performed and empirical treatment with antibiotics was administered. Regarding newborns, were described the mode of delivery, APGAR scale, neonatal symptoms of COVID-19, RT-PCR results, complications after delivery, birth weight, among others.
