2019-nCoV has led to a global epidemic of viral pneumonia cases, which began in Wuhan, China. To better understand the incubation period of the virus, researchers in the Netherlands surveyed the travel history and progression of symptoms of 88 patients outside of Wuhan during early stages of the outbreak. The results report the mean incubation period to be 6.4 days (95% CI: 5.6-7.7) and ranging from 2.1 to 11.1 days, with the hopes of better informing the extent of quarantines.
