Prolonged Use of n95 Mask a Boon or Bane to HealthcareWorkers During Covid–19 Pandemic

A retrospective study was carried out in which the symptoms presented in health workers, including doctors, paramedical personnel, pharmacists, etc., due to the prolonged use of the N95 mask, by conducting a digital survey, 423 participants between 21 and 47 years old were included, excluding those under 18 and over 50 from the beginning of April 2020 to August 2020, among those surveyed; 283 (67%) used an N95 mask and 140 (33%) a surgical mask, of whom 103 (24%) were women and 320 (76%) men. Headache was the most common symptom in 23% of cases, followed by nasal dryness (22%), dry eyes (19%) and acne (12%).The limitations that appeared in the study were due to not evaluating the pre-existing conditions of the patients, the level of stress or the quality of sleep that they presented.
